ISC(2) Certified in Cybersecurity: How to Register

I wanted to share here a breakdown of the process to register for FREE for the exam with the promo code that is currently still offered to ISC(2) Candidates. The scheduling process can be a little confusing, so I wanted to create instructions to help those who are ready!

ISC(2) has launched their One Million Certified in Cybersecurity Promise and the $199 exam is now being offered for free! This is a fantastic opportunity especially for those like me that are transitioning from a non-technical background to build up expertise in the cyber world.

The Process

How to Register:

• Become an ISC(2) Candidate and obtain Candidate # https://www.isc2.org/landing/1MCC
• Scroll to Free Registration to take CC Exam https://my.isc2.org/s/Candidate-Benefits
• Create an account with Pearson VUE (if you already have a pre-existing account, they will merge it to a new one where you will update your credentials) https://home.pearsonvue.com/isc2
• Copy promo code to use later on (note: promo code does change regularly) https://my.isc2.org/s/Candidate-Benefits/1MCC-exam-instructions
